This is a very handsome large 19th century French black painted bookcase.
A true statement piece, it stands tall and proud with good shelf heights for displaying large books and decorative items as seen on the photos.
Featuring three internal shelves and a drawer at the very bottom this lovely piece is hand painted in a beautiful true vintage black with a very subtle distress.
The fixed shelves and interior panelling have lovely rich tones stained to a beautiful chocolate tone which adds great depth.
