Here we have a Stunning 1930s Davenport Military Campaign Desk with a real distinctive design. These desks were initially designed for portability and durability, used by British Army officers in the 18th to 19th century. This Davenport desk features brass corners, handles and strap work for protection and decoration.
The top unfolds to reveal a leather writing surface with green baize and a secret drawer which is very useful. It is in excellent condition for its age and has been re-polished.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is minimal surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, fading and stains to the top. The desk remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. There is a an old repair to one of the handles but opens perfectly. Overall, a great example of its kind. There is a small crack to the bottom but it doesn't affect it.
