It has the original Fine gilt paint finish to the back rest and original cane seat.
Light marks throughout but it certainly only adds to the history and appeal of this chair. This would look lovely in a lounge casually by a bookcase, styled in a hallway or bedroom.

Condition report:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. The cane is intact with no tears. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, fading. The chair remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a good example of its kind. Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is ready for your home!
